If you’re exploring the idea of becoming a teacher, this is the perfect opportunity to experience the profession first-hand
Who is eligible to apply?
- You are studying a STEM-related degree. Subjects include Maths, Chemistry, Physics, Computing, Modern Foreign Languages and Design and Technology.
- You are an undergraduate student in your second year or above, or a master’s student. Please be aware if you are a master’s student, we only have a limited number of places on our internship available.
- You have not already applied for an Initial Teacher Training (ITT) programme and have not already taken part in a DFE funded teaching internship.
- You are able to complete the 3-week internship in June/July 2026.
- You have the right to work in the UK.
If you are an international student, check your visa as many student visas allow you to work 20 hours per week during term time and full-time during holidays. Unfortunately, if you are an international student and do not have a current UK visa we are unable to support your application.
What is on offer?
Three weeks classroom experience from Monday 22nd June - Friday 10th July.
Earn up to £455 per week on completion of the full 3 weeks internship
Our programme is designed to give you a meaningful experience that allows you to actively engage in;
- shadowing experienced teachers and observing lessons
- joint planning and teaching lessons
- one-to-one guidance from outstanding classroom teachers and subject specialists
- an insight into school life both inside and outside of the classroom
