Attendance
For your child to achieve her/his full potential it is vital that they attend college every day. Recent research conducted at the college shows that a minimum attendance of 90% is required to give a child the opportunity to achieve 5 or more A*-C grades. Obviously sometimes absence is unavoidable e.g. if your child is ill. If this is the case please contact the Attendance Office on 0161 370 4825 on the first day of absence as soon as you can after 8 a.m.

To help the college monitor attendance we have purchased and electronic registration system - Bromcom. Since April 2005 your child has been electronically registered not only in the morning and afternoon registration periods, but during every lesson.

If your child does not attend college regularly we will contact you and if the problem persists further action will be taken through the Education Welfare Service.

Please ensure you encourage your child to attend every day and get to school on time. Remember if your child's attendance is at 85% this is the same as having half a day off a week and if it is at 80% it is the same as having one day off a week or missing a full school year!
